Project 3 film shoot

The first day of filming it was raining but our group was organized and got a lot of shots completed on the beach. We met at my house since I am the closet to carolina beach. We had two extras, it was really nice of them to be in our film considering how cold it was. The next day we shot the weather was much better, luckily. We shot at three locations, and were pretty organized so they went well. We had a park ranger visit us on our woods scene, he was nice though and of course we cleaned up everything we put in the woods. I feel like everyone worked well together, it made shoting a lot of fun. This by far was my favorite project in this class!

Installation Idea

I think it would be cool having models dressed in a single color and have some hold jute boxes with music coming out and others holding tv's with a film being displayed. Maybe the film will have different flowers on them, and others will have little kids running through the fields with flowers.

Music Video

My part is set designer. We have parts that we are filming on the beach, I picked carolina beach because there is usually less people there, and I like the fishing pier. The woods I choose were on carolina beach camping site, actually I choose different woods but Evan knew of these and I think they turned out good. The alley way I choose is just plain awesome! It has bright green and blue walls I am really looking forward to seeing how it will turn out on film!

Self Portrait Idea

The self portrait idea is a hard one for me, I am not big on doing films on myself. I am not sure if I want to use an idea I have from when I was little or if I want to make something about what I am about today. The decision is a tough one! I do have one part planned but I don't want to blog it yet. I find it tough to look at myself and make a film, so hopefully I can dig deep and find something good to do a film on.

Game Plan

My game plan to put sound and light together onto film, is to listen to the tape of just the sound a couple of times, then start to look through the images and try to visualize them both together and what the film should mean. I have started this process, it is a lot harder to do than I originally thought because I want the film to have some sort of meaning, not sure what that is yet, but as I get further into the process i will be sure to blog.
